The Author

    Everything started with reading! I just love reading, especially a good book. As a young child, reading was always attention-grabbing to me. Reading tends to give me an escape into an imaginary world that allows me to leave my reality, and step into someone else's. Whether fictional or non-fictional, the fascination of placing myself into what I was reading triggered something within me, which was the love of writing. 

    I discovered writing for me was exciting, therapeutic, a PASSION! Soon after, I started reading different types of stories from writers, which fueled the desire for me to write my own book one day. Fast-forward to more than a decade later, after many performances (poetry) and writing various non-published novels, Istene Gelin Kennedy is here, and here to stay.

    I’m bless to be able to call myself a writer, poet, director, author, and entrepreneur. As it is so, 2019 was when I decided to share my writing and some of my many talents with the world. I self-published my first book, “Indulgence,” which is the first book from my Lukewarm Series. Indulgence is my baby, and I’ve learned so much since its release. It’s currently available for purchase. My second book, Infallible from the Lukewarm Series will be releasing soon, so stay tune.
